The aim of the sustainable waste audit is to identify and optimize the waste streams of the business and the sustainability of materials employed in particular by FOH. The objective is to improve the overall sustainability of the business, streamlining operations while improving efficiency and reducing costs, along with improving the brand image from an environmental sustainability point of view.

Some businesses might lack in having recycling in place. Materials that could potentially be successfully recycled, are binned in general waste, which results in higher operating costs and poor environmental sustainability. There is also room for improvement in terms of materials employed that could be substituted with more environmentally friendly alternatives.
The objective is to create a baseline and build an overall picture of the entire operations across all the sites, that could help in the future to periodically review their performance more easily.
