What to do with leftover Lemon Peels

Lemons are one of the most common food that can be found in kitchens all over the country.

You might not know this, but you are throwing away a very valuable ingredient that can be turned into some very useful stuff. There are many uses for lemon peels, from whitening paste to beauty products (think of skin toners), but also something that might come particularly handy during these times, is a DIY all-purpose cleaner.

How do I do it?

It is very straightforward. You'll only need another ingredient: white distilled vinegar.

Place the lemon peels in a large jar and fill it with white distilled vinegar.

Then, let it sit in a cabinet for a couple of weeks.

Strain out the peels and... your all-purpose cleaner is ready!

It is a perfect substitute for those so hard to find disinfecting sprays, leaving surfaces smelling fresh and disinfected.

Lemons' acid is antibacterial and antiseptic, that acts as a natural bleach.

All this time, your perfect antibacterial might have been sitting just right in front of you!
